This Meet is now confirmed as the owners of the lovely Polmanter Touring Park are happy to welcome us Funsters back again :Grin: & have kindly agreed a £5 per night discount & no extra charge for up to 2 dogs or for extra people on your pitch (maximum 6 per pitch) to come along too for a 5 night minimum booking (y) Choose your preferred type & location of pitch with options including Grass EHU pitch from £26.50 total per night after discount or £30 for Hardstanding with EHU. No extra charges for a tow car or attached awning but Quest Screenhouses or similar are not to be used.

The main Meet dates are arriving on Monday 21st September for 5, 6 or 7 nights but there is some flexibility & the option to stay longer with the same reduced rate - full details to be sent by PM. Those on the original "Interested List" below have already been sent the full details of how to book so this is now open to all Funsters. Our previous Meet can be seen here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...et-cornwall-2025-limited-pitches-left.319039/ for an idea of what a lovely place it is to camp & explore :)

As well as excellent facilities at the Park there are regular public buses from the stops near the pub on the main road before the turning for the Park. There may also be a private, chargeable bus direct from the Park for some days but this is not definite yet. Taxis to & from the main taxi rank by the Royal Square in St Ives cost from £7.50 per trip this year. It's a pleasant 1.5 mile 30 minute walk downhill to the town but can understand that some may not want to walk back up too so always good to have options!

The Stable Bar & Restaurant on site were very popular this year with some visiting each evening. We will have tables reserved for a Fun Gathering on Monday 21st September 5-7pm when the Bar should be open to buy hot & cold drinks - an ideal way to get to put some faces to names, pick up badges & vehicle signs. There may be a quiz or another arranged gathering in the Bar to be confirmed nearer to the time & usually some adhoc meet ups out & about in the cafes & bars in St Ives.

There are lots of places to visit including the Tate Art Gallery (many free entry smaller galleries too), Barbara Hepworth's Museum & Sculpture Garden in her former home, Leach Pottery, St Ives Museum, dolphin watch from "The Island", pleasant shopping in the historic cobbled streets with lots of tempting food & drink establishments, walk on the 5 beaches or just enjoy a coffee sat looking over the harbour or sea. Public buses run from the Malakoff in the town to Carbis Bay, Truro & Penzance plus the train is ideal for scenic journeys to visit those too plus further afield. Falmouth is a favourite train trip for us - two big attractions there are EH Pendennis Castle & the National Maritime Museum.

Look out for the St Ives Festival (12-26 September 2026) venues https://www.stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk/ too for some added entertainment 👩‍🎤🎵 🎸

We can't do the September dates so have just booked for October. Definitely interested in 2026 though.

Hope you have a good time (y) If you haven't been before please see post #128 here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...nwall-2025-limited-pitches-left.319039/page-5 as looks like the public bus may also be viable from Halsetown a short walk from the entrance to the Touring Park - could be ideal if you have English bus passes & even if not looks like quite a few trips from £2. We'll try & find out more when there next week.

Bus 16 and 16A go past polmanter. The bus stop is just up from the cinema in St ives. If you asked the driver they will usually drop you at the junction where the Halestown Pub is.Then it's a 5 min walk to polmanter.

Thanks and many thanks for that advice on the buses. We do have a well behaved cock-a-poo so hopefully will come in handy!

For the current Meet - have added some tips on the group chat including this great spot for a coffee at the top of the Tate Gallery - we even have sunshine! Maybe this will tempt a few more to join us next year....

Interested.

But can't commit until closer to date unfortunately.
Just don't know what hospital shenanigans between now and then.

Great that you might want to join us but unfortunately Polmanter doesn't allow RVs - looking at your avatar thought I should mention that or do you have a motorhome now?

This one is yet to be confirmed so just for pencilling into diaries (Meet dates could move a little later but flexible with bookings around that window) at the moment as waiting on 2026 dates for St Ives Festival, availability of the Touring Park shuttle bus, how this year's Meet goes & if the owners wish to welcome us all back again next year! This year's can be seen here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...et-cornwall-2025-limited-pitches-left.319039/ for an idea of what a lovely place it is to camp & explore :)

I did a season on a campsite near Weighbridge in 2012 and would love to revisit and see more of the area.

Thank you All for your interest so far :hi5: This should hopefully be ready to book by next weekend - we have agreement of a £5 discount per night again (y) but just waiting on confirmation that they can also waive the additional extra charge for bringing up to 2 dogs & for the online discount code to be set up. As it's a Meet booking direct with Polmanter we hope to have some flexibility but Monday 21 September 2026 (when their price drops) is confirmed as the main arrival date then your choice of 5, 6, 7 nights or more.

Interested. You organised the sun so well this year😃

Hi Karen and Alan. Many thanks for sorting this. We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Booked for 5 nights from 21st Sept, pitch 281 (sorry wasn’t being unsociable, we were limited to the top deck when I put our measurements in) 👍😎
