This Meet is now confirmed as the owners of the lovely Polmanter Touring Park are happy to welcome us Funsters back again
& have kindly agreed a £5 per night discount & no extra charge for up to 2 dogs or for extra people on your pitch (maximum 6 per pitch) to come along too for a 5 night minimum booking
Choose your preferred type & location of pitch with options including Grass EHU pitch from £26.50 total per night after discount or £30 for Hardstanding with EHU. No extra charges for a tow car or attached awning but Quest Screenhouses or similar are not to be used.
The main Meet dates are arriving on Monday 21st September for 5, 6 or 7 nights but there is some flexibility & the option to stay longer with the same reduced rate - full details to be sent by PM. Those on the original "Interested List" below have already been sent the full details of how to book so this is now open to all Funsters. Our previous Meet can be seen here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...et-cornwall-2025-limited-pitches-left.319039/ for an idea of what a lovely place it is to camp & explore
As well as excellent facilities at the Park there are regular public buses from the stops near the pub on the main road before the turning for the Park. There may also be a private, chargeable bus direct from the Park for some days but this is not definite yet. Taxis to & from the main taxi rank by the Royal Square in St Ives cost from £7.50 per trip this year. It's a pleasant 1.5 mile 30 minute walk downhill to the town but can understand that some may not want to walk back up too so always good to have options!
The Stable Bar & Restaurant on site were very popular this year with some visiting each evening. We will have tables reserved for a Fun Gathering on Monday 21st September 5-7pm when the Bar should be open to buy hot & cold drinks - an ideal way to get to put some faces to names, pick up badges & vehicle signs. There may be a quiz or another arranged gathering in the Bar to be confirmed nearer to the time & usually some adhoc meet ups out & about in the cafes & bars in St Ives.
There are lots of places to visit including the Tate Art Gallery (many free entry smaller galleries too), Barbara Hepworth's Museum & Sculpture Garden in her former home, Leach Pottery, St Ives Museum, dolphin watch from "The Island", pleasant shopping in the historic cobbled streets with lots of tempting food & drink establishments, walk on the 5 beaches or just enjoy a coffee sat looking over the harbour or sea. Public buses run from the Malakoff in the town to Carbis Bay, Truro & Penzance plus the train is ideal for scenic journeys to visit those too plus further afield. Falmouth is a favourite train trip for us - two big attractions there are EH Pendennis Castle & the National Maritime Museum.
Look out for the St Ives Festival (12-26 September 2026) venues https://www.stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk/ too for some added entertainment
