Polar screen

We were amazed by the difference they made to condensation. There was none! They do shed quite a bit of water, though, if it has rained overnight and you need to drive away without being able to dry them off first. Is there any way, short of putting a towel under them, of avoiding this?

Someone suggested just leaving them in the shower area to drip

I use a window cleaner blade to clear the "standing" water on the outside before removing the cover from the van

If they are as good as Silver Screens (other brands available) you should be nice and snug, but it is recommended that you do not draw the Remis blinds when you have screen covers fitted.

Any idea why.

Sorry not really got any idea but I would think it is to do with cooling the windows down a bit in comparison to the inside of the van and causing condensation. We have never had any condensation when we have our screen covers fitted despite the outside temps being below freezing all day.

Always close the Remis at night even with the screens on (some scrote could try and remove them ).

Can't say it's ever made any difference to condensation - we don't get any!

Impressed at the apparent change inside the van using this. Even on only a moderately cool night I know the heating was running less and I do perceive the front of the van is a lot warmer. And no hint of condensation. Inside of the van seems a bit duller than by simply closing the Remus blinds perhaps because of the colour.

I also noticed a rise in temp on the inside of my van when the outer thermal screens were fitted. I suppose the front windscreen and side windows must allow a lot of inside heat to escape

Front and side is single glazed. Other van windows and roof lights are double so are better. I think that I got the cover version with the extended lower flap covering the bonnet grilles also reduces draughts. I need to get a couple of bits of Velcro to attach the door bottom corners to the handles and stop them flapping (there are tie points on the Minster Polar).
