All the gear, and no idea!
I installed a pioneer AVH3200 double din head unit in the Moho and everything’s good except I can’t hear people speaking to me on the phone though the speakers! They can hear me through the little mic and all the sound from the radio, cd, aux work ok. Anyone installed the same, using the fiat plugs and leads and had the same problem?

I put one into my Peugeot Boxer which I bought from a funster, it came with an adapter cable which went between the Peugeot one and the JVC unit.

Whilst on a phone call, have you altered the stereo sound level?
also whilst on phone call have you checked what phone is doing regarding the source of sound?

to help test you can call 1234 which is a talking clock.

Is it an Apple Phone?
we had same problem with our new Pioneer double din Apple Car play head unit, could play Deezer from phone, through van speakers but not get any sound from Google maps. Re-instaled Google maps so many times, worked great on Phone, plug into the head unit zilch.
The Pioneer head unit on ours has two volume controls one for the radio, another for the phone, both up at max, nothing, then turned up volume on phone, and it worked.
We replaced the I Phone 6S with a newer I phone XR, seems to work now, with new fast data apple lead USB to Micro USB.
Good luck.

Might sound daft, but have you tried turning the volume up from your phone during the call?
yes, no difference
Hard wire or BT ?

Thanks, I’ll try that tomorrow thanks
I think there is separate volume for phone hidden in the menu.
I’ll have another look thanks

Have you tried it hard wired ? does that change anything.

I would look at:

Cable connection rather than BT just to rule that out
Check the wiring loom block adaptor, make sure it's fully pushed home
All the volume channels as described above
Try a different phone, you never know...

After that it's back to yoghurt pots and string:LOL:

On my wife's car, the phones are connected by blue tooth. The volume control on the radio does both functions ie the radio and the phone, depending what is in use. When you get a phone call, try turning the radio volume up, on our it turns up the phone volume. When the call has finished, the radio reverts to the previous volume.

Cheers

My tablet won't connect to our Kenwood radio without their app, do Pioneer have one?

I have used the "Pre Outs" they are the outputs from the pre-amplifiers in the radio head unit, which are then used to power up a separate audio amps rather than use the head units internal amps.
The Pioneer has 4 50watt internal amps, two for the front speakers & two for the rear speakers.
When I connected the head unit and played it through the front speakers it was OKish, I Then got my Harman Kardon 50w RMS seperate amp out the loft and tried it using the front two Audio "Pre Outs"it was alot better.
I then took out the standard Carthago fitted front door speakers, replaced them with larger ones with seperate dash mounted tweeters and passive crossover unit.
I ripped out the existing speaker wires, and upgraded those also, then as I had the door cards off, I fitted sound deadening matting to the inside of the metal doors.
A lot of work and expense, I know but I had the amps already, but the new Focal speakers were very expensive, but I do love my hi-fi sound in the van now.
So as you can probably tell The Pre-Outs are nothing to do with getting the sound from the phone through the speakers, so you were advised incorrectly on that bit.
Good luck, like us it will just work if you keep playing with it.
Another tip: if you have paired the phone via Bluetooth to the head unit and are using the USB lead as an input also, try turning the Bluetooth on the phone OFF. We did this with the older I Phone and boom! it worked.
Good luck.

Have you checked in bluetooth settings how your device is connected? On Android you can press on the settings icon next to the connected device (the head unit) within bluetooth settings and select calls and audio if one won't connect you should try turning bluetooth off and on again and reconnect and try again if you still can't get both to connect then you may have a firmware issue that would need resolving. And make sure the phone volume is up full.

Update!! Still can’t hear phone through speakers🤬 just having a play in the van and I’ve just about tried everything, but no joy. Would an car audio specialist be able to sort it🤷‍♂️

Did the phone work before on Bluetooth? Just a thought, do you have a separate satnav with Bluetooth to try and connect then you'll know it's working? Might help to eliminate things.

Every aspect of the phone via Bluetooth is working from the voice recognition to making the call, the only thing that isn’t working is I can’t hear the person on the other end of the phone, they can hear me, but I can’t hear them, the call connects seamlessly, just without the audio. As before Pioneer said something about swapping front to back pre -outs, but I haven’t got a clue what they are or where they are🤷🏼‍♂️ I guess a trip to the local Audio place is in order👍

Some phones and head units aren't compatible, Bluetooth is a black art, I hate it.
