MH
Just looking
Maybe a strange one, but in looking at various MHs we checked out a 1 year old Pilote, and when I stepped in the shower to check for size, the shower tray had quite a lot of give in it, was almost bouncy! I am under 10st so no not heavy by any means. We have ruled out Pilotes as that didn't seem great quality but with Burstners and Adrias no problem at all.

Thought I'd ask here in case that was a one off, and see if any Pilote owners have feedback. Don't want to rule out a decent make unnecessarily.

Our twenty year old Pilot does have a very slight spongy feel to it. It is a double floor model, the floor being about three quarter inch plywood. When looking up at the drain I can see white polystyrene on top of the floor in that area. I am assuming the whole shower tray sits on polystyrene a bed, perhaps so it does not feel cold. This may explain the sponginess.

That's interesting, maybe part of the construction as you say. The one we looked at didn't seem damaged in any way. I will keep an open mind (y)

We have a 21 plate 740 Evidence and no movement in the shower tray, had to put some more silicone around it though .

10 year old Pilote shower tray sturdy. Had some hammer since covid restrictions. Shiwer blocks been out of bounds and we have discovered how good the shower is. Never used until Covid

My previous 2019 P650 shower tray was fine , used the shower frequently and I’m no lightweight.
Now have 2021 G720FC A class which is double floored and the tray is solid

Thanks for your replies everyone. It seems we shouldn't rule out a Pilote, but slightly odd as to why we felt it and 68c noticed the same. Maybe it is just some models, but helpful to know it isn't all of them.

We have a 2020 P650 and the shower tray has been replaced under warranty as it cracked because it wasn't supported properly. I've heard of others with the same problem.
