Hya. Just about to start building a campervan on L4 H2 . How many 8 × 4 sheets of furniture board am I likely to require on a 4 berth build. ? Also any information on domestic or Thetford fridges ? Smeg hob and sink unit . Built in ovens . Habitation heating Or diesel ? Thanks whitto

Partly depends on your layout, but sleeping for 4 and also 4 travel seats will be a challenge even with a L4 van. I used around 4 sheets of the lightweight board when I did my conversion.

Mmm something to consider on the number of berths then

You need to look at how the professional converters manage it, one users a pop up roof on a panel van with two berths up top but probably for children. Another one has two bunks across the back.

Spend a few hours going though some of the van conversions posted on YouTube, some are crap but some have been well done with innovative ideas.

Here's a 4 berth L4 conversion with an electric double bed to give you ideas.
