Before we left for Greece in October, we had a new ABS sensor fitted as the warning light had come on. We'll be heading back in a few weeks, but the light has come on again ... is this a common issue and what can be done?

Hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on your problem.

It is not necessarily the same one, as there is an ABS sensor at each wheel. Could be several different things bringing the light on, i.e. faulty sensor or just a bad connection in the sensor wiring, too large an air gap at the rotor, even worn/ badly adjusted wheel bearings. You need a garage you trust to check the sensors etc properly before changing anything. Hope this helps

Have you sold now Ron ?

Agree with Ron ....you can get a electronic guy who will be able to pinpoint which wheel/ sensor is at fault:xThumb:

Many Thanks - not always easy out in Greece, but there is a local guy. Will he need any form of diagnostics, as he doesn't have one to cover our vehicle?

Diagnostic will probably only point him to which wheel.....you can take each wheel off and examine one at a time ...rears will probably need hub off as well

Can be done with an oscilloscope, but if he hasn't got the OBD diagnostic tool it's very doubtful he'll have an oscilloscope.
Once the corner is diagnosed it still needs a physical examination.
Mine wasn't a sensor, it was the actual tone ring in the hub which had corroded.
