Is it possible to get rid of these? If I go into Chrome and remove any cookies I don't want in settings/cookies, as soon as I come out of settings some of them will have reappeared. I have vanilla cookie manager as an extension in chrome, it reports 125 cookies unwanted out 173, tell it to delete these 125 and it says 125 removed, if I then click it again and they are all back again.

Sites like 33across.com, abmr.net, adadvisor.net

Any ideas?

Ian

Some cookies are good cookies.......(y)

In a word Ian, no. :( Self destructing cookies on Firefox is a brilliant add on and works a treat but can't see anything like it for chrome. Have you the will to switch to Firefox?

You can delete cookies in Chrome directly without the need for an add-on. Its in the Under the Hood section. Downside is it will delete cookies you want to keep but that just means you will have to login again to websites the first time you visit. Might be worth trying this approach.

lay of the porn and you will be fine Olley:D

Hi DB, read my original post, that doesn't work, they just reappear immediately, that's why they are called persistent cookies. Can you get porn on the internet judge? Well I suppose you would know. ::bigsmile:

Sorry, I read your post as meaning the cookie manager add-on was doing the deleting.

I downloaded and ran CCleaner this weak and it deleted all my cookies, which was a momentary pain. I have never had any faith in such programs before but reviews suggested it wouldn't do any harm - and it hasn't.
