Almost a Newbie but not quite now.
Just wondering if Auto-trail part departments are trained by the same as those in the Royal Navy.
I enquired today about a problem I have noticed with the Seitz blind on my Autotrail Savannah. I noticed it has melted due to the heat from the rear gas burner on the stove. I also mentioned as an aside how this sort of dangerous fault could be designed into a motorhome and that we no longer boil the kettle on the rear gas ring as we would like not to have our motorhome burn down in front of us.
I posted a picture:

to prove my point and fears of a fire, (this is the rear of the cooker hob) along with the year of manufacture (2010) and model.
About 5 minutes later I received a request for Chassis number or Build number.
Do they change the specification of these motor-homes mid run so next week we put the window at the rear ? or am I just being cynical.
I would have thought any fully trained parts department member would be able to pull up the spec's on microfiche and say "ah, that is the part he is wanting".

or is it me ???

Auto-Trail.
Do actually work from the Build numbers in the parts dept l can confirm this from personal experience.

Can you pull back a bit with your camera please, I cant get a good view perspective of what you are trying to describe..Thanks
Yes I would have thought that any spares dept would have at least an on-line schematic diagram of every part along with part numbers etc for model & year of manufacture.
I just hope and prey your parts are still available, short runs are also a worry.
Good luck

Thanks for the response,, pity Autotrail cannot respond better,, Just had a missive saying they only stock complete blinds and to try Dometic direct for spares ?? Just hope nothing else breaks.
Here is a picture of whole area showing cooker and window. Problem is in bottom, right hand corner:
