The warden who is part time turns up morning and early evening. To introduce himself and to collect the fees.

There is hookup, but, we didn't want it, there,are showers to be paid for.
Aire, very close to the centre of town. Very flat, quiet and an in need of a little tidy up, but absolutely fine, restaurant and supermarket within easy walking distance.

Recanto Dos Mouros​

A little out of town. Views of the castle from the terrace. Staff friendly and helpful. Delicious local food and their own wine.

The castle is worth a look,the last time we were there there were some excavations going on at the base of the castle for drainage which unearthed original stonework that was carefully being unearthed. The little museum is interesting.
