Hi all, just a quick question.

The parking ticket (official car park) is for 24 hours from arrival. My question is, are you permitted to sleep in your van at this car park?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, yes we stayed two night a couple of years a go bit expensive for parking with no facilities but free bus service
Kev

Official no, but nobody takes any notice.

Motorhomes start piling in from about 4 pm and by about 7pm it's jammed and if you don't like somebody parked next to you 3 feet away then don't bother.

We opted to park up at the Restaurant La Ferme Saint Michel carpark who are on Park4night and have a nice meal to boot and a nice peaceful nights sleep.

There is a nice aire at St Michael, it was aroundc15euros but nice and clean, water, elsan and ehu if required. Nice and flat and individual pitches. Controlled by a barrier, need credit or debit card to operate as I recall. Handy for the free bus to St Michael. A bit expensive but seeing as the town and walls around the St Michael rock are free to walk around it was a bargain. Visited the monestry but its just rooms, interesting history but took around 2 hrs to get around, think it was around 8 euros each. As we were there, we had to do it.stayed for a couple of nights, it balanced out with lots of free Aires.

Nb. Dogs not allowed on shuttle buses but maybe if in a ‘sac’ or regular buses.

Go for the aire it's cheaper with all services and electric plus wifi. And you can still use the bus. Get packed on bus like a japanese train at busy times but frequent service.

I used to tell the kids on the many coach trips I've done there that the cheapest souvenir shops were at the top................................!

Hi have stayed on the aire very good, have also stayed on the camp site on the opposite side of the road to it was same price as the aire last September. We walked along the river on cycle path to Mont Saint Michel
As we have a dog takes about 50 mins to 1 hour depending how fast you walk.

Does anyone know if the buses are still running this time of year? Likely to go there in the next couple of days.

Similarly parked here (on the motorbike) but stayed at Avranches where you can see the sunset behind the castle from 12 miles away if you pop up the hill to the public gardens.
Similarly at Avranches there is a PMU bar that will toursit tax you 16 euros for a bottle of house wine !

We arrived here in the dark, so it was magical waking up with the sun shining over it in the morning and we didn't walk it but buses were unloading folks to do it from there.
