Bought a Satellite System, it's faulty but it's under warranty.
German seller says that He won't cover the postage costs but will refund the costs if the Satellite is checked by them and found to be faulty.
I took the BIG parcel to the local post office. Quoted 11.1KG = £63 one way OUCH.
Took the parcel back home.
GOOGLE says :- Parcel2go only £14 { DPD picked it up } , {{ I put it in the back of the van Myself }}
Off it goes to Germany.
I received an email on 13-03-21 saying that Customs need more information, the recipient needs to ring customs to clear the parcel.
Message to ebay seller sent straight away.
No reply until Sunday.
Recipient hasn't heard anything about any parcel.
Parcel2go 'live help' contacted. I offered to pay any additional fees as I didn't want the parcel returned.
I was told that I couldn't pay the fees.
I asked the recipient to check His junk mail folder { SPAM }
Recipient says He has now contacted DPD and DPD say that the parcel will be received by the recipient today.
I've just checked the tracking and discovered that it's now coming back to the UK............................

My sister had to send a set of keys to her daughter in Paris. It cost £30 to get them through customs on top of the postal costs.

were customs waiting for the commodity tarrif code to clear it if so the supplier will have it or it should be

Ahhh, B++++t - the gift that keeps on giving. Just hope and pray that the clowns at the UK end don't now charge you an import duty and UK vat on it for the return journey. :unsure::confused:

This can't be doing global warming any good, parcels being partially delivered by freight then aircraft held up at Customs, stored and returned by aircraft and then freight again.
It was a Faulty, Used, Non-working Satellite System { clearly written on the parcel } so what 'Customs Duty' was owed is a mystery to Me.
It also has to be sent out again !

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.... But....

Is it possible it has been back to base and repaired or exchanged and/or repaired and/or new unit sent..???????????? :smiley:

Nope, not delivered, according to Parcel2go
or rather *Parcel 2 not go*.

Sending stuff to the EU is a nightmare at the moment, we sent a secondhand phone via DHL to our daughter in Portugal, there were multiple delays and requests for copies of the invoices we sent with the package. When it did arrive she was charged €125 in admin and import duties on a phone with a value of £100.
Today a letter containing her new credit card that we posted ten days ago was posted back through our letterbox without any explanation.
I’m sure the situation will settle down in time, but right now no one could dissuade me that orders have been sent out from Brussels to all involved in import/export of goods from the U.K. to make the process as awkward as possible.

I have ordered a few machinery parts from Germany for our laser cutting machines, it was the supplier that told me if fir any reason parts needed to be returned to only use FEDEX as they are the best carriers to use at the present brexit shenanigans that are going on at customs .
