I personnally am a risk taker, I would pay the loan off + the 6 months interest and tell paragon to go whistle for the rest & that if they wish to take it further then go ahead, tell them you are busy gathering adverse info on them and will be approaching the usual bodies for help, you will also counter sue for gross mis-representation, do not be a victim of these people, believe me they would have to go to small claims and there are no costs allowed and with their track record they would lose, Im sure you would find out that they will run and cut their losses, do not back down on this.
