We are not leaving until Wednesday, going to Exmouth, and hoping dry for a few days.

As a resident at the 'Pointy End' of the country, one has to admire
the efforts of the various local and regional Tourist Boards down here.

Except for the Autumn and Winter months, the South West is NOT!!!
the warmest, driest and, sunniest of areas in the country but nevertheless
gets the biggest influx of UK tourists, year on year.

I write this as yet another 'Low' pressure system slowly grinds across the landscape
adding to the 250% of average rainfall we have had since the start of the year.
Hell, even the local reservoirs are full, something that hasn't occured since we took
up permanent occupancy. That last sentence should not be regarded as a contradiction
to my comment about rainfall. Simply put, we don't have enough reservoirs.
