Does any know how I proceed from here. Hopefully you can see the initial message “initialise ant .” Then goes to “init error” then nothing the disc just won’t go up🤷‍♂️ . I mainly use internet streaming now so if it’s going to cost a fortune to repair I won’t bother but I do like to have things working so any ideas please .

I had a similar problem with my Oyster 2, there are a couple of things you can try, no 1 pull the fuse, leave it for a few minutes then replace and try to raise the dish, if you still have the same issue try the following, pull the fuse again, loosen the two bolts covered with plastic domes where the dish pivots, just prise the domes off with a flat blade screwdriver, no need to fully unscrew the bolts just loosen them, a 17mm spanner in my case, then replace the fuse and try to raise the dish, the dish shouldn't move but the mechanism should, give it a minute or two then retract the dish, once it's turned itself off tighten the two bolts fully and replace the domes and then try raising the dish, this worked for me, how mine got the error message was i raised the dish without making sure it was clear of the tree I was parked under, which must have tweaked the dish slightly, the afore described procedure resets the limit switches.

Good afternoon Howard H

Sorry for the delayed reply. Busy Monday so far!
The error is telling you that the system can't set. The unit is trying to Initialise the antenna and then when it can't it's essentially saying initialisation error. It could be something simple or it could be a bit more complicated.

The first thing I'd recommend doing is to (if possible) go up on the roof and loosen the two 17mm bolts either die of the main arm. Once loose the dish will be loose so just manually lift it and check for anything that may be caught, clean it away and lay back flat leaving the bolts loose.
Next go back to the control panel and press (and hold) all four buttons until you hear a relay click. This will reboot the electronics and then go through the startup procedure. If the system sets and turns off then you can return to the roof and tighten the bolts back up (70nm if you have a torque wrench) and then it should operate as normal however if the same fault persists then I'm afraid I would need to see it in order to diagnose so it would be worth giving us a call in the office on 01858575928.

Fingers crossed it works!

Many thanks will try this when/if it ever stops raining 👍

Obviously Anthony knows better then I do, but it appears to be the same basic procedure but with a different method of rebooting rather then pulling the fuse.

ChrisL Vision III's have a different method but you're way would still work too.
