Hi all ..Can't wait to get out in my camper but a lot of campsites closed at the moment.
Just wondering if anyone has ever used any car parks in Bowness Windermere to park?

Only a couple of weeks ago.

Drive along the front heading towards the CCC site on the one way system. Before you get to CCC site, where the roadworks are you can legally park on the road. Basically by the cemetery so quite quiet.

Good food in the pub, Ship, short walk away.

Our favourite UK camping town. In the summer it's great for van plus bikes. And the Jazz Cruise.

Where I described it's always free. If you are taking about the actual car parks do check to make sure there is not a restriction of it being occupied over night, which is very common.

The carpark behind the C&CC site, Braithwaite Fold allows overnighting for a fee, but as Brian says, you can probably park for nixy at this time of year on the stretch of road by The Glebe.

Rayrigg road has a couple of lay-bys and there is often a MH parked there.
