Anyone used this site recently? we have to stay in the area for 10 days while family visit and we need to be close to their hotel.
The reviews are not good unfortunately, we need to go onto a site with full services so aires are not a option.

I have been told that this site has finally closed. There is an aire just east of Quarteria otherwise nothing close

Although you said “aires not an option” as you want facilities, the 2 camperstops at Falesia have hook up and decent dumping facilities, and there’s a nearby shop for small amounts of provisions.

No pool, but the beach is 5 mins away.

I can't find any news about it closing. If you mean Parque Orbitur Quarteira then we stayed there about 6 years ago and found it a good site. Toilets were old but cleaned every few hours. Pitches were large and easily accessible . Only negative was the slow booking in process because at the time it was an ACSI card site but the Orbitur card system was cheaper so everyone at reception was signing up for it.

We have stopped there about 8 times over the past 16 years, 2 years ago was the last visit. My mate is down there now and he tells me it is definitely closed down at last

Somebody should tell Orbitur, their website seems to be still accepting bookings for pitches. Not gone through to final page in booking though . Nothing would surprise me , left and right hand!?

EIIF I have to apologise to you, I was told the Orbitur site at Quateria was closed and stated that on here but I have just been told by the same person that the site is still open but it is well hidden by the new housing estate built there. Apologies

We’ve just spent 11 days on the site. The booking in took for ever. We walked around for over an hour trying to find a suitable pitch our vehicle is only 5.3 metres the problem being there are very few electric points and many soft sandy pitches. It’s quite expensive for low season at 22 euro per night including electric. We were on this site 20 years ago and the showers and toilets are still the same definitely need updating no hot water for washing up the water in the showers was nice and warm and the cleaner cleaned them twice a day. Some of the best pitches had reserved signs on but apparently hadn’t been used for weeks.
We went to Quarteira to meet up with family of 4 who had hired a apartment for 8 days they had to book into the site and were only allowed access to visit us for 2 hours and then any extra time would cost just under €4 each we were really not happy with that they showed the reception the documents pertaining to their accommodation and were only coming to have lunch with us.
It’s a shame the site is really well situated and Quarteira is a lovely place to visit.
