Orbis Heaters

Hi all anyone have any first hand knowledge of these 500watt heaters from America.
Seen lots of sales pitch.
Maybe ok for motorhome when on huckup.

I've got something that looks the same, bought from the british heart shop , it's like a moth farting , might keep the chill off if you use it at night but it won't warm a MH from cold

It's a 500 watt electric heater so it will produce 500 watts of heat, to sum up pretty useless.

If these are the type that plug directly into a socket, I'm sure someone on here had a similar one melt/overheat, cant find the thread now.

I expect the marketing bumpf describes how economical to run they are (because they won't provide much heat).
Why not burn a candle? At least you'll get some light at the same time...

(OK, 500W is more than you'll get from an ordinary candle)
I think it's still cheaper to heat with gas!

We had a lovely little 100w tube heater next to the toilet at home .
It make a cracking hand warmer if you grasp it.
Pretty pointless so took it out when I redecorated.
