Like a young boy I’m genuinely a little excited getting the MH ready , a week before we leave, tomorrow - to take her on a test run , refill all the tanks , check the systems are all working and start stocking up on food n drink.

:-) can’t wait

We get like that too. We are off next week but I'm trying to get Alan to go sooner, not having much luck though, but at least its all ready to go.

Most nights I'm on google changing the route to Austria and we're not going until June

Ours is always almost on the point of departure.

Because we have had to take all the cupboards out of the utility room we're going to sort all the boxes and write on them what goes in what and then it will be just a question of moving ready packed boxes into the van :) When we get home things will get washed / cleaned and either put back in the van or in the correct box. Also I want shelves put into the floor ceiling cupboards so getting the boxes in and out is easy. Lifting every box out to get to the one at the bottom is not my idea of fun and that's when things get pushed into the wrong box.

Anything that may be of interest to rodents comes into the house but pots and pans and crockery stay in the van. Mice do like wood - especially anything that has been used for cooking such as spatulas and spoons so they have to come in.

I have a "grab bag" of essentials in case of emergencies but may expand that and have enough clothes in a box so that just gets taken out to the van (as well as still having the grab bag). I also need to think about keeping a couple of weeks of my essential medication on hand, probably in my handbag. I've been having problems getting supplies so got down to just a couple of days :( I must make sure I order 3 weeks on advance rather than just a week next time.
