Have not bought one yet.
I notice quite the major percentage of motorhomes are of the van body type rather that the integrated type like the Hymer B544 for example. What are other motorhomers views on this and why. My preference is the integrated. Maybe its a hangover from my bus days. Surely from a security point of view alone, the less doors you have to secure the better, not to mention the greater visibily. Id like to here other peoples views on this topic.
 
Depends on your own taste, but I would always want at least 2 ways to get out my van without trying to open and get out a window.
 
One is enough for us. We have 2 but the one is secured shut with pins all the time.

Waste of weight and fittings IMHO.
 
Doors are a potential rattle/cold bridge and security issue, but most of the larger A class only have the one door so it’s not something we give much thought to.
 
To be honest, I think that most of the time it comes down to price. An A-class is generally more expensive than either an over-cab or a low profile and so have a smaller market share.
