Well it had to happen one day ! After lots of winter crossing on this route all having been very smooth , it was bound to happen ! 5 hrs into the crossing it is shall we say Choopey ! Announced that due to bad weather passengers not allowed out on decks Ahhhhh glad took sea sickness pills . But keep telling each other it will be worth it to have some sunshine :-). Any Funsters around the Cartagena area :-)

We were on the same crossing and yes, the sea was more than a bit hilly.
Stayed in our cabin all the time and slept most of it. Thank the stars for Stugeron.
Currently at the aire in Palencia, had a walk into town and great tapas and a couple of drinks.
Bloody freezing here now (-2)

ended up not a bad crossing we turned in early watched Dvd & good nights sleep . full english this morning and now settled down at aires in Cascante along with another 6 vans . bit of change of plan heading towards Benidorm area

Saw a few plates flying across the café floor last year and yes it was rough for a few hours but it's expected on that crossing. We'll see what happens this year, all booked up and ready for the off.

as you say its to be expected at this time of year Rolandrat , but would rather a few hrs bumpy ride than the drive through France ! went back through France last year and for the very little we saved and the time it took it was not worth it to us . but as they say each to there own

I hope it's a bit smoother in June (y)

Nice Avatar Rolandrat - I used to work for them

Yo Jaf doing same crossing later this month what facilities are in cabin? thinking dvd player, kettle etc.

Cheers

Stewart

depending on what cabin u book . we had outside 4 berth on the Finister . no kettle or tv so we took our own kettle and watched dvd 's on lap top take a continental plug adaptor as plugs r 2 pin and we also take a 3 gang exstension lead as only 1 plug in cabin . so can charge up phones ect while boiling kettle , oh and no hair dryers in cabins ! hope this helped

Even if the costs added up Woman would still not take the long ferry.. She REALLY does not like water and she has refused point blank to use anything bar the shortest route possible on the wet stuff !

Jaws, have you tried the shuttle?

We had 2 plugs in cabin.
Have a look above the vanity unit, on top of the hangers, there's another plug there.
We took instant porridge for breakfast and had a great lunch on board, prices really reasonable.
2 old dears had heated pot noodle in the microwave provided.
Kettle, iPad for films.
T bags or coffee, milk, cups.
The pillows are hard so next time I take my own, didn't get much sleep as pillow too hard.

Like food and bars in this country, there are good and bad. The trick is knowing how to recognise which is which.

Do you recognise a good one by not ending up at the Urgencies?? :madder::madder:

You've obviously had a bad experience sometime!

we have alway found tbe cheap beer and vino kill all known germs !!!!! never had any problems over last 6 years only had tagahout trots in morroco last year ! but still plan to go back

Have Tapas'd all over Spain in the last 20 years, from small village bars to City centre bars in Malaga, Seville, Ronda,Jerez, Madrid,Barcelona,Almeria, Benidorm,Cordoba and many others. Never had the trots, don't be afraid of the countertop stuff it is refrigerated to just above zero, get in there and try it even if you don't know what it is.:)

And overpriced !! that depends where you go, in many areas free cooked tapas is still on offer.
