The police obviously thought there was intent and not just bad driving.

The driver of the motorhome, a 74-year-old man from Wigan, was initially arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving but has now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has now been released on bail.

Just speculation ,there may have been some interaction prior to the commission of the crime in order for malice aforethought to have been generated
as random action would seem a bit strange , unless generated by an ideological factor .

It is possible if hes not a flight risk, age, health a career etc very unusual circumstances.

However my experience is a charge means nothing at arrest or when out on 28 bail.... it’s when you answer to said bail you know it’s become a real charge that’s progressing ! They NFA. charges more than they progress !
