Absolutely,Sierra Bermeja mountain (1.449m) above Estepona perhaps once or twice every year or so gets some on top but by midday it’s gone, however, rain lower down often follows that turns to Hailstone and we had it over 1metre deep against our terrace some years ago but again 2/3 hours later all gone.

You don't get much further south than the Sierra Nevada in mainland Spain and guess what, there's a ski resort up there.

The Sierra de las Nieves is a little more south near Ronda.....and it is well named, we have attempted to climb Torrecilla twice and encountered Nieves both times.

It`s been sunny all day in East Yorkshire. But then that`s gods own country! (y) :D2 :reel:

I have heard there are parts of the Sierra Nevada that have a little snow all year round.

In point of fact, there ARE only 3 "Ridings". The fourth is a a fictional invention of a novelist!. Anything south of the Humber is in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. :D2 :reel:

On a good day we are 10m above sea level and 170m from it. ?
Snow on the beach for 2 hours every 20 years. ? Bob.

Quite correct, it was part of the West riding up till 1974 then became South Yorkshire! (Incidentally we aren’t south of the Humber, more south west as we aren’t directly under it) I can vaguely remember writing West riding on stuff and all the stuff at school had West Riding of Yorkshire on it, your post prompted me to have a google and memories kinda came back although vaguely as when I was at primary school they was just changing over. Thanks for the prompt????
