Only a quarter of it Pete, I live in one of the other quarters!! Anyway didn’t your lot renounce the word “Yorkshire” and slot in Humberside for a while???It`s been sunny all day in East Yorkshire. But then that`s gods own country!

Quite correct, it was part of the West riding up till 1974 then became South Yorkshire! (Incidentally we aren’t south of the Humber, more south west as we aren’t directly under it) I can vaguely remember writing West riding on stuff and all the stuff at school had West Riding of Yorkshire on it, your post prompted me to have a google and memories kinda came back although vaguely as when I was at primary school they was just changing over. Thanks for the prompt????In point of fact, there ARE only 3 "Ridings". The fourth is a a fictional invention of a novelist!. Anything south of the Humber is in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
I was thinking hereYou don't get much further south than the Sierra Nevada in mainland Spain and guess what, there's a ski resort up there.
The Sierra de las Nieves is a little more south near Ronda.....and it is well named, we have attempted to climb Torrecilla twice and encountered Nieves both times.
Been up there! Got some photos (somewhere) of the top of the clouds from the summit.Apart from Mt.Teide
