Renting a Roller Tea
Hi I don't know if anyone can help please? I'm hiring a Roller Team 740. I've connected everything up, and filled the water up. When I turn the tap on, I can get cold water, but as I turn it to hot water, the water disappears.

Any ideas how to resolve this? I've heating that's working. I've reset the Truman panel.

I did at one point get an error code w 18 h but that's now cleared.

Turn on the hot tap and leave it until water appears....it may take a minute or two.
The boiler will be empty and doing this will fill it.
Don't forget to turn on the pump at the control panel if it isn't already on

Hi thanks for replying so quickly. I've left the tap running but if the tap is on hot there is little to no water that comes out if I switch it to cold it runs fine.

Exactly, the boiler is empty. By opening and leaving open the boiler will fill then come out the tap
Of course, this will be cold until the boiler has heated it

Did you fill the boiler when you filled the water system? It takes a few minutes.
Have you shut the dump valve?

The hirer didn't tell me to fill the boiler with water, just the fresh water on the side of the van.

Dump valve is definitely closed.

No there isn't.

Put all the taps to hot. Open them and fill the boiler. The boiler takes 10 ltrs so watch the main cold tank to make sure it does not run dry.

What motorhome is it? So that others may be able to help.

Even if the boiler is full, has been "cooked" for long enough, and the pump is on, could be airlock in the hot water pipes (have had a freezing shower due to this the other morning :-()

If possible you could try blowing air down one of the hot taps to shift a possible air lock.

As explained, the boiler is filled from the water tank under pressure from the pump when the hot tap is opened.
There's no other way to fill the boiler.

Ah. Should have reread the op
No prob.
I only mentioned it, (not because I'm a smart-arse), but because the OP won't be able to reply without subscribing.
Occasionally posters ask an OP where they are located or which m/h they have when the info is under their avatar on the left of the screen. IIRC Jim mentioned a while ago that that when viewing on a Smartphone in portrait orientation that avatar 'box' doesn't show although it does when held in landscape. I only use a laptop so can't confirm that.
