Good Morning. I filled up the Gaslow 11kg cylinder on my new motor home yesterday (It would only take £11.47), rushed home to make a cup of tea, turned on the valve cylinder valve, opened the valve under the hob- then nothing, there is no gas coming through. Looking on the Gaslow website I am wandering if there is air trapped in the cylinder, if so they suggest opening the cylinder to the atmosphere. There are 2 buttons one yellow and one red, I’m not sure what these are for. At the moment I have only 1 cylinder as my original plan was to have an ordinary cylinder as well, but I am now thinking I may get another Gaslow cylinder. The system was supplied and fitted by the dealer. Any suggestions gratefully received. How do I open the cylinder to the atmosphere?

I have put a blank fitting on the hose that is unconnected at the moment (before filling)

Does your regulator have a reset button?

I’m not sure what the yellow button on regulator is for ?

My previous regulator had a green button that needed pressing after a cylinder change before gas would flow again.

Have you pressed the black reset button on your rupture protection pigtail ( hose ) ?

At the cylinder end of the orange hose there appears to be a black knob. If it pushes in, then my guess is .............................Basildog types quicker than me :giggle: :giggle:

Do you have hidden internal gas taps you need to turn on?
Vaguely like these and often under sinks....

Think I’d kick the dealer the next time I was there, just for the state of the hole they’ve left in the bottom of your gas locker 😖

Good luck with sorting it out 👍🏻

Is it like my Secumotion regulator , you have to press the black button on the pigtail and the yellow button on regulator for 3 seconds both at same time

Tried all of the suggestions, still not working. I can't find any more gas taps, just the one in top drawer under the hob. I felt the fitting through the floor was a bit scrappy, but thought I was perhaps being a bit pedantic. I'm going to have to tidy it up as it will irritate me every time I look at it. Its a Malibu 640

That’s a 6kg cylinder not an 11 👍
I would either return to your dealer to get them to sort or if you feel confident in your skills then disconnect the pigtail and turn on the gas from the cylinder carefully.
Ensure you are in a safe well ventilated area
As Gaslow advised that will expel any air and also prove that the system is working.
Message me if you need any help.

There appears to be gas up to the gauge as it seems to be on the green section of the indicator. Hvd you tried opening the gas hob a little longer, it needs the piso igniter to click in as well to allow the gas to get through.

Is there a one way valve where the hoses meet on the regulator..? Looks to me that the gas from the gaslow bottle would come straight out the calor pigtail hose…??

I hope I’m wrong…🤔

And with a big space like that locker it’s stupid to put a small bottle in, dealer has only done the least as possible…😔

The dealer delivered it with no blank on the Calor pigtail, I noticed it was missing before filling up with gas. My plan is to get a 11kg Gaslow to link in to the system.

Here’s our set up with two 11kgs cylinders fitted……👍

Gaslow suggested that I try the black button again and this time hold it in for a minimum of 5 seconds, this I did and Hey Presto its now working. Thank you everyone for assistance, at least I know a little more now then I did on how it all works.

I really don’t know how some installers dare put their name to some workmanship.
Poor seems to be the norm with some.

Really pleased you got it going
Really miffed at the size of all your gas lockers :crying:
