Nice site within walk of Hucknall Nottm?

Hucknall is slap bang between City of Nottingham and the town of Mansfield
I hope im wrong but I dont think there is one less than a good car drive away:Doh:

Looks like there is one in Bulwell which is the next town to Hucnall. Can't say what it is like though. :Doh:

It is a problem in this country that many major cities and town do not have campsites with walking distance (many do not have them within ten miles).

I think it would be a good idea if we had a database or list of all sites within walking distance of town centres on this site, anyone got any idea how to do it?

We looked at this CL for our trip to see Riverdance in Nottingham next Saturday. I can confirm that there is a regular bus service that runs past the bottom of Lamins Lane, close to the site.

However, we have gone for Redhill Marina , Nottingham Campsite, which is right next to the new Parkway Rail link at Ratcliffe On Soar. There are regular trains running until very late, and it's close to the M1 for our escape north, to God's country on the Sunday. :Rofl1:

live about 5 mins from here
never seen this campsite near bulwell
will go and look for you if you want
about a five miute walk down morrisons will bring you to the nottingham tram which will take you to hucknall and back and these run fairly regular until late at night
 
just looked at their website and found this

We are a new site, opening on Saturday 4th April 2009.

We are a Certificated Camping and Caravaning site with pitches for five caravans.

Being within close proximity of Nottingham City we are ideal for a stay to see the sites and sounds of a vibrant city, yet within five minutes of getting in your car you can be in the depths of the Nottinghamshire countryside.

don't panic :Wink: i live in hucknall and there is a nice little site a ten minute walk away i don't know the number off hand but it is in the ccfc big book ,its between annesley village
and hucknall if i get chance ill have a ride up in a bit and get you the number.:thumb:

can you get a bus from newstwead village to hucknall
you can get the tram from bulwell to hucknall
are you using your own transport to get to hucknall
or there is a taxi i suppose
isn't newstead village a little secluded for transport?

regular bus from newstead village
its a 15min walk to national school the site is nearer to hucknall if you walk down the farm
track.
