hello all, I know this has probably been asked times over but could you please tell me how efficient or not the c6002 eh is on 230v mains hook up.

I can select gas and get a great hot water and acceptable blown hot air but when I try EHU it hardly blows any air and the hot water is Luke warm and this is with things running for around 1 hour.

Any help is appreciated.

On electric it will take longer for the water to heat up and the heating will be pitiful..
Gas is the way to go if you need hot water quick.. Or heat quick.

My water heats up fine on EHU but blow air is quite weak. I always use gas to start, get the van warm then turn gas off and use electric to maintain it. (y)

The C6002 series are primarily gas heaters and very efficient too with a maximum output of 6 kilowatts. The EL and EH models have auxiliary electric heat that helps the gas along but it will not get very hot on electricity alone. The EL heating element is 450 watts - not sure about the EH.

Many thanks for all of you replies, I guess I will try the gas method - it is just lack of experience and knowledge which I am obtaining by the boat load.

I had the same issue, spoke to the truma guy at the NEC and confirmed 6kw for gas and 1.8kw for blown air (mine might be a slightly different model) but same principle
He also informed me that when using gas and electric together (if you have the option) when the van gets to the preset temp the gas will automatically switch off and the electric will maintain the temp
Should have read the manual that came with the boiler, spent a couple of nights in the cold thinking EHU would be adequate (didn't have enough gas) now got 8 bottles of gas(y)
