The driving force (ignore the pun) is to do away with the driver altogether, replacing truck drivers, can drivers etc. The cost of fully automated cars will be too high for most of us in our lifetimes, but for a cab company even at £100,000 they will be good value, but to be cost effective the driver must be removed completely

If injured you will be treated in the state hospital.
If injured more severely, and can no longer carry out the job assigned to you at birth, you will be reassigned with an attendant change in living status.
If injured too severely to work you will be offered the option of voluntary euthanasia or loss of citizenship and exile to the undeveloped zone.
As defined in the decrees of Life President Musk.:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

And there is the rub I guess the ‘economy’ whatever that is will benefit but for those who earn a living from Driving which for a lot of people on lower incomes will no longer be there. The government will need to consider paying a universal income to the population when most jobs go this way.
