The problem of mice gets mentioned regularly.
Never seen this device before but is meant to be a swift dispatch of the little furry blighters.

WARNING - the advert images in detailed description do show an animal being dispatched. The rest of the advert is information.

Thought it was worth sharing.

I use a good old fashion spring cage trap ,,,,also fits big rats but our cat Ritchy is best mouser ,,,

DERATIZATION
Is that a new terminology for killing the little blighters..
I had a big old plastic paint tub that I cut a hole in the lid with spikey star shapwd cut bits sticking down and put some bait inside.
The little blighters built a nest inside and were coming and going as though they owned the place.

I like the seller feedback, obviously it wasn't a mousetrap!

I use traditional spring traps baited with peanut butter, gets them every time. I live on a farm and would be overrun if I didn’t dispatch them. If you catch them and release them elsewhere they’ll overrun someone else’s place. There’s millions of the little blighters and what I catch only scratches the surface. We also have a feral cat that has taken up residency and he takes care of them as well. He’s good at catching rats too

seems a bit gimmicky to me. Sticking with proven old fashioned springs for a fraction of the price.

Humane traps don’t usually have a “mouse killer impact body” but do involve rehoming the mice 2 miles or more away.

Agreed if the object of the exercise is not to harm the mouse, however also only if the trap is regularly checked.

Nothing humane about leaving a mouse trapped in a confined space for hours on end in my opinion.

If the object of the exercise is to kill the mouse as quickly and painlessly as possible then gas probably isn't the worst idea. It would lose consciousness extremely quickly.

I would need to be convinced that whatever is holding the mouse in place while you gas it is any better than a traditional trap, but it does look like it's less prone to just pinning a limb or tail like traditional traps can.

I use a humane trap.
