I’m finally getting round to replacing the rubbish decals that are bubbling and shrinking. Obviously it depends on how much the rest of the paint has faded but I’m undecided on what to do.
1. Replace with same design and colours.
2. Replace with the same design but different colours.
3. Do something different.
The only concern with doing something different is effecting the resale value.

Is there another Globecar you like the look of?
Copy that one?
All kinds of car type vinals are available on eBay. Make some patterns and copy them, they are pretty easy to apply.

Take off the current decals and see how the van looks 'naked'. Visit the local vinyl firm to see what they do and at what cost. When you sell the van, you can always take off any vinyls you put on if the buyer doesn't like them. Use a professional firm to replace the vinyls. I've done it this way for my last two vans.

That's what we did
with our Roadstar 800 - though be careful if you have it wrapped insurance consider this a modification !!

Easy job for a vinyl company but be prepared for a price shock. I'm pay much more for vinyl now and it's getting dearer every week. As it's a relatively new van I would keep the sane for resale value.

We had the same issue with a Globecar who had some faulty batches of decals so if it's still under warranty then put in a claim to have them replaced. They are a sod to remove so think long and hard before stripping it completely.

Hair dryer to lift and White Spirit to remove the adhesive - anyway the Globecar is diddy compared to the Roadstar

Oh if only it had been that easy! It may be on a coach built body but not on a metal PVC ... even the dealer spent ages getting them off and they knew the best way to do it.

Fortunately I won’t be doing it, the company that does our company vans will be doing me a favour;)

Priced my M/H up down near Exmouth recently (we were there on a Rally) and a local firm quoted me £1750 plus VAT .It is on an Aclass 7.5 mtr. Whilst I initially thought this was overpriced since then looked into other dealers quotes and it is a tricky job by all accounts. This is on a 3.5 year old M/H, apart from the crap graphics we are well pleased with it. Just annoyed they have failed so quickly.

We had to replace the decals on one side of our Le Voyageur - luckily we had a trade contact but it was a swine to remove the old decals and took about 80% of the time
