Not before time, Largs is lovely town with ferry link to the Isle Cumbrae.. spent many a happy day there.

Priced from £25 per night.. seems pricey for what is basically a space in the marina car park..

With EHU and a drive-over dumping point.

there is a another CL at South Whittlieburn Farm, at £17 with EHU and a shower..

we used this site with a tent , it's a a bit out of the way and up a narrow road to access so may not be great for large motorhomes.

I suppose the price reflects the demand vs (lack of) supply of sites in the area.

indeed.. Ayrshire is very poor for sites.. as is Refrewshire (my home county ) has next to zero

which is odd, as both counties have much to offer the visitor

I clicked on the link and was looking at the pictures and found this one.
As a kid we used to holiday in that area all the time (my Dad was from Dalry, not far away) and that rock was painted like that then.
Then being the late 1950s into the late 1960s.
Brought back some very happy memories and a wee tear to the eyes.
