From £169 SINGLE, I believe - rather than return. And the price includes reclining seats.

If they are offering the no frills service I wonder if they are going back to the Truckline Ferry thing that they ran in the eighties it were good and cheep.:thumb::thumb::thumb: I can`t remember why it was scrapped

I've just tweeted Brittany Ferries to see which vessel they will be using.

They haven't decided yet, so I expect they are hunting for a relatively basic one right now.

Yes, I was suffering double vision - after a glass of wine so a good excuse, unless you are my doctor! Must find a reclining seat...

Not sure if the BF discount scheme will apply to this service, but if in the meantime you want a discount code to get 10% off current BF rates just drop me a PM.

I've just had a message off them now

'We will be chartering and potentially re-naming, the current DFDS Seaways Ferry "Norman Voyager".

It already operates Portsmouth - Le Harve for DFDS/LD Lines, so the only change is it'll be doing that weekly Santander trip

    Sounds good !!!

Anything to save money !!! just been quoted £1324 for a return trip from Santander to Portsmouth... does include 3 kennels and outside cabin but still a lot of money !!!

I personally do not mind slumming it for 24hrs ::bigsmile:

    BF Ship

As long as its not this one!! Crossed on this in 1973 to Roscoff not a pleasant experience in October! The Truck Drivers cabins were basic, Portacabins bolted to the deck with bunks and limited choice of food! Whatever was in the big pot! BF are obviously hoping for this service to grab custom from their competitors, it could backfire and just take custom from their standard service. Living here in North Devon, Portsmouth Le Havre is a good option so may try it later in the year.
