The level indicator on my fresh water tank is playing up and I need to clean what I suspect is limescale from the tank.Could anyone please suggest a suitable water additive that will do the job.I cannot physically get to the probes themselves without major engineering so looking firstly for a quick fix.Thank you.

I have this issue with the black waste tank. Even hugely diluted I assume it would take an awful lot of white vinegar to do anything?! Especially as youd need to brim the tank to reach all the probes?

Although I suspect only the longest probe is caked up on mine, as sometimes it doesnt read empty (when its been emptied) but it does read correctly as it fills up.

Ive just had mine replaced under warranty by Burstner and the new one is just as inaccurate as the last one.

Last time i had a problem i put in about 500gramms of food grade citric acid, then topped up with water and left for a few days. rinsed through a few times. I now have fresh water meter readings and no taste to the fresh water. We DO use it for drinking.
I also puriclean at the beginning of each year too.

edit. I see no reason why this would not clean the probes in waste tank,, no need to flush
