I want to take the kids to Ireland over Easter for a week. I was thinking of either Cork or Limerick. Can any of you give me tips/advice of campsites, places to go and the relative ease with which you can get into either of these cities either in the Van (it's tall) or via public transport.

How old are they?

You're probably aware but Ireland in the Easter holidays can be just a tad busy - we were there last year in the North (Devil's Causeway etc) and around Dublin (Wicklow mostly) and and the popular places were pretty well rammed.

You have to take them to kiss the blarney stone, my Dad made us do it when we were kids so I don't see why it shouldn't be compulsory, I mean who wouldn't want to climb a circular stone staircase and hang upside down, 85ft up, with some bloke holding on to you that you've never met before so you don’t fall through the gap and go splat on grass below :ROFLMAO:

If it's still there, Trebolgan Holiday Park is (was!) great for teens. Easy ride into Cork. The Titanic exhibition at the old Cobh railway station is also worth a visit. Again, if it's still there, use the Aire at Cobh and catch the train into Cork.

Oh.. A trip round the Waterford Crystal factory. To see such works of beauty coming out of the dirt and grime, is something to behold. We took teens who were reticent but still talk about it 30-40 years later.

That all sounds great. Not sure about the Waterford Crystal factory. My son is very tall with long arms and ADHD. Even walking down a supermarket aisle can be scary sometimes
