Spotted the up & coming Nedwood Festival online http://www.nedwood.co.uk/ & the organisers are giving a discount code for the first 200 motorhomes so your tickets & camping are free there is just a £10 fee per pitch (not per person) to go towards paying for cleaning the site. We messaged them & they kindly agreed for us to post the discount code here showmvan2018 Tickets are normally £47 each for 3 nights so a good saving

Don't know yet if we can make this one (looks unlikely ) but it's great value camping for a weekend in August with music so thought some Funsters might like it? Be quick if you do as spaces are limited

If you are local or staying in the area & want to just go in for the daytime & not camp then tickets are completely free with the discount code.

Some idea of what to expect:
"Nedwood Music Festival 2018 returns to Turnpost Farm, Wymeswold, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE12 6SU from 24 – 27 August 2018. Gates open to the public from 11am on Friday 24 August, with the main arena open from 12 noon until 12 midnight, however if you are still in the mood to party, there will be a silent disco from 12 midnight until 2am. On Saturday 25 August and Sunday 26 August, the main arena will be open from 12 noon until 12 midnight again the Silent Disco will be from 12 midnight until 2am. Don’t worry if you’re an earlier riser and looking forward to a nice breakfast, there will be a separate access to the main food vendor who will have a tasty breakfast menu on offer! Although Monday 27 August is leaving day, breakfast will be available from 9am – 11:30am

So what to expect at Nedwood Music Festival this year??………..PLENTY!!!!

The main stage will be non stop live from approx. 12 noon until 12 midnight (except Friday 24 August when the first live act will take to the main stage at approx. 5pm) we have brilliant bands, solo performers to keep you entertained, there will also be tented stages with live acts throughout the day.

The Disco, Soul and Jazz Funk Arena, organised and led by Ray Douglass will have brilliant DJ’s keeping you entertained all weekend, with great tunes and sets from Ray himself and with live broadcasts throughout the weekend, you can dance yourself dizzy!

The Right Track Northern Soul Arena organised by Peter Baker and Lisa ‘Boogaloo’ Lane will have some of the most popular Northern Soul DJ’s entertaining you all weekend, with a sprung dance floor, the best tunes with sets from Peter and Lisa themselves, you will “Keep The Faith” all weekend long.

For those of you who love to join in, there will be regular “Karaoke Time” throughout the weekend.

After the immense success of “The Children’s Area” at last years festival, we have went all out this year!! Yet again there will be Children’s Workshops and Theatres, interactive walkabout transformers, chill out geo-domes, hobby horse races, inflatable play area and so much more! And that isn’t all, we will have the most tremendous fire shows… "

Know that interest in this may be limited this year as pets not allowed but if quite a lot do book then it may be possible for Funsters to to be pitched together Please let us know on here if you do book & being pitched together is wanted.

We can go to this one as for the first time in 27 years we are dogless.
Our dear Ollidog passed away peacefully just before Christmas and we are trying to resist the temptation to get another dog.
We have to keep reminding ourselves of the freedom and flexibility we now have. Believe me it has not been easy.

We have booked. Saw it on the Facebook page and booked the dogs into the dog carer which they love. Never been to a festival before so very excited about it... And we had already booked the long weekend off but not made plans. Need to get a funster sticker so we can be found.
