I know that this has appeared in quite a few posts but I only found out tonight how much our excess would be if we use it if we ever get back to Spain in the coming weeks.
First of all I was surprised to see that I could find out the price online by answering the medical questions.
Secondly I was surprised at the cost, £34 for me with underactive thyroid and a bit of osteoporosis and £44 for my wife who has Lupus including asthma, high blood pressure, and underactive thyroid. These together with the £65 for being over 70 are for a full year.
The excess to cover 88 days was £127, so around £270 altogether, not forgetting the monthly fee of course which I use for the breakdown cover.

Just done ours for Spain, 90 days. Husband has multiple health issues, I have a couple. Plus age. Really pleased with cost and how easy it was to set up.

But don't forget the breakdown cover ,covers you all year in the UK for all your vehicles

Is there a weight or size limit for vehicle cover in Europe? And does it include vehicle recovery to the UK if needed please?

Is there a weight limit=7.5tonnes
Does it include repat =yes

I assume this is in addition to the £13 per month for the account so that’s £426 altogether ?
I did say that the monthly fee covers the cost of breakdown cover.

To take out the yearly cover is it any cheaper to buy earlier or closer to ferry date.
As not sure we will be allowed to travel in January 😜

I have not paid any excess yet or even the age related fee of £65, hoping to travel in January but it’s still up in the air. The quote that I got when doing the medical assessment lasts 30 days but I doubt if it would change much if I had to do it again.
