Just thought I'd give a plug to the breakdown service you get with the paid current account - had to use them twice this weekend and both times they were quick, courteous and reliable. Both times they got a van to us within fifteen minutes and when we broke down today on the motorway they rang me three times just to check we were still okay. Five star!

Us too last Thursday! We used the Nationwide FlexPlus recovery which is provided by LV Britannia & local agent (Caldicot) was to us at Gloucester Services in about 20 minutes - extremely helpful & professional chap doing what is a tough & often dangerous job.
It was reading about this account with its travel insurance & recovery benefits on here which prompted us to take out this account so again good Funster info. (y)

We have used them twice and both times found them excellent. Now I hardly dare go out with the van with all you folk breaking down so often ;)

This is great to know, we got this account for the benefits it provides and with getting interest up to £2500( I think) it pays for half the monthly fee roughly so makes it very good value. Anyone used the mobile phone or travel insurance cover, are they as easy to deal with?

Used the mobile phone insurance last year, when I managed to get water in my iPhone. I phoned them on Monday and had a brand new iPhone on Wednesday! Can’t praise them enough for that aspect, so very glad to hear that the breakdown is as good!

Not had cause to use the travel insurance yet but the extra we had to pay to cover all our health bits came to £225. Not cheap but considering it covers worldwide and even cruises I reckon it's still good value.
