Not sure we will make this Show https://mcshow.co.uk/ this year but will post anything new & interesting that we spot on the social media feeds - please do add anything you see too :active:

The on site camping CAMC camping https://mcshow.co.uk/plan-your-visit/onsite-campsite/ (anyone can book not just CAMC members) opened for booking a while ago but at £38-£48 for Show nights it is expensive for a car park with basic facilities & EHU - can't beat it for convenience though & hugely cheaper than the hotels in the area for this period! Last year those that visited for the day commented about the queues in & out of the NEC but no such concerns when camping on site. It's a shortish walk to the Show Halls & near to the transfer bus stop but please note that buses become less frequent late mornings when the car parks near to the camping area are full as they focus on the new arrivals in the car parks further away. Last year the paved areas had surface water with all the rain but weren't muddy like the shingle ones & arriving earlier in the week meant more chance of being pitched away from the big generators - the marshals understood our request not to be too close to the residual hum that still ensued despite the sound deadening panels around them. Despite the prices the pitches are likely to be full for the prime days at least so booking early is advisable.

NEW - Italian manufacturer (part of Rapido Group) Giottiline https://www.giottiline.com/en/models/ will be at the Show for the first time on their own stand 9.83 - Wandahome & Brownhills are listed as a couple of their UK dealers. They do have a variety of bathroom layouts in their van conversions including a separate shower cubicle with a swingwall wardrobe & toilet opposite in a 6m van & their version of a swingwall combined shower/toilet which is our favoured use of space :)

i am sure that Premium Motorhomes will be showing the latest update to the Morelo range with a redesigned Loft/Loft Premium, join the back of the queue if you want a look ;)

We’re thinking we’ll go again this year. Is any one day better than the others e.g. in terms of crowds?

Weekdays not the weekend & earlier in the week if you want to talk to staff from the manufacturers.

For anyone thinking of visiting the below may be helpful:

Tips gleaned from previous visits but please post your own too :active: :
Car & motorhome parking is normally some distance away from the main building & as lots of Show halls to walk around so might be a good idea to hop on the free shuttle bus that take you from the carpark to the main entrance but don't forget to note or take a photo of which number car park you are in!
Sensible shoes - not just because of the large area that you might cover but also going up & down all those motorhome steps of varying heights safely.
Wear layers as although may be cold outside it gets really hot in the halls with all the lights & people.
Taking a rucksack with food & drinks is a good idea as cheaper & don't have to queue. Suggest only one rucksack if two of you as some manufacturers don't allow them to be taken into their premium models so may have to take it in turns or leave it outside.
There is the option of visiting M&S Simply Food at the nearby airport by walking then using the free Air-Rail link - it's a bit of a walk but ideal if coming in by train & loads of people usually have M&S picnics. Any NEC staff should be able to point you in the right direction for anything as they are normally friendly & helpful.
Drinking water refill points are in the long corridors outside the halls so ideal to keep hydrated for free so long as you have a bottle.
You can go in & out of the halls freely just don't forget to get your hand stamped the first time you leave. Numbers of tickets sold will be restricted so that it shouldn't get too crowded but being able to get outside in the fresh air for a break is really good.
Pace yourself - it's a lot to get around (takes us at least two days!) & if you have a limited time suggest planning & prioritising the stands you want to see. Suggest having the floor plan https://mcshow.co.uk/plan-your-visit/show-map/ (when available) on your phone using the free NEC WiFi. There's usually more detailed info. about the traders & larger map at the back of the free paper Show guide that can be picked up on arrival but there are also links to the relevant websites for the exhibitors listed here https://mcshow.co.uk/exhibitor-list/ & usually more info. about each one as the website fills up nearer to the time. Free paper maps are usually also available.
The free motorhome https://mcshow.co.uk/whats-on/motorhome-manoeuvring/ courses fill up quickly so book on arrival to reserve your slot & don't forget to take your driving license card.
Show days earlier in the week are best to have a chance to speak to the staff who work for the manufacturers about technical queries rather than just the dealers & normally less busy then too.
Use the free WiFi to check any prices or information online before buying - some sales staff don't know all the facts or might even make it up to get a sale :(
Take photos of Show prices & layouts (there are usually boards outside each motorhome) & anything else that you might forget later. It's easy to be dazzled by all the glitz & excitement of the Show.
Ask for a cooling off period with your choice of motorhome held if you do agree a sale - 24 hours is normal.
Be friendly & smile - it's long hours & hard work on the stands so more likely to get a good deal if you are likeable not demanding :)
If you find that you need to visit a different day to that on your ticket then you may be able to change it here https://motorhomecaravanshow.seetickets.com/customerservice - this depends on availability although always worth a try.

"World Premiere" of this innovative, extending Carthago Malibu Genius model https://www.malibu-carthago.com/en/malibu-genius/[Broken Link Removed] will be at this October MC Show at the NEC! Good to have something launched first in the UK for those who don't go to the Dusseldorf Show.

Looks like it’s all ready being launched, possibly just for dealers.

Shame its only the Compact Max offering VW and not the Compact

The Show Map is available to download now https://mcshow.co.uk/plan-your-visit/show-map/ & the Guide can be viewed which is ideal for planning your visit https://mcshow.co.uk/plan-your-visit/show-guide/ . Paper copies of both will be available free on stands in the main corridors, near to the entry points for the Halls, on arrival at the Show.
The Cloakroom service (coat £2 & bag £3) in the main corridor can be handy as well as the free Shop & Drop in Hall 12.
Car parks open at 7am & close at 11pm so worth arriving early & leaving late to avoid the queues - parking is included the cost of the ticket & plenty of suitable space if taking your motorhome for the day.
Look out for the competitions to enter on the stands - the big C&CC one is worth 22K for a Swift Sprint Alpine 4 caravan on stand 99b in Hall 9 & the CAMC £12K 16 day motorhome tour of New Zealand in the same Hall on stand 95! No need to be members of either club to enter. There are small prize draws too at 4.30pm every day apart from Sunday which is at 3.45pm - head to the Inspiration Theatre in Hall 9 for these.
In the unlikely event that we are able to squeeze in a visit then would be having a look at the new VW Crafter based Eribacar https://www.eriba.com/gb/de/eriba-car on stand 35 in Hall 20, Chausson X550 https://www.motorhomes-chausson.co.uk/model/x550/ & X650 https://www.motorhomes-chausson.co.uk/model/x650/ van size new coachbuilts with end bathroom (stand 20 Hall 8) & the debut of the Weinsberg X https://weinsberg.com/en-int/motorhomes/x-cursion-van/ (stand 32 Hall 17) as well as the others mentioned above. We aren't planning to replace our Globecar but do like to see new designs & innovation!

*****Please do pick up any Show discount details that you spot & post here (maybe add a photo) to share the joy! :active: ******

Thanks for the Flash sale code - tickets bought for Thursday 👍 We can put the £1.50 we saved per ticket towards the cost of a new motorhome … every little counts 😂😂😂

There's been a few queries on the forum about the best day to visit - in our experience Tuesday morning is busy with press & product launches as well as keen visitors (CAMC Club Day) but usually calms down in the afternoon, Wednesday & Thursday are usually quieter with it starting to ramp up again on Friday (C&CC Club Day) & crazily busy at the weekend when the Halls can reach capacity! All days are quieter 4pm-6pm if you can stay late.

£10 per item discount on Fire Safety Sticks on their stand in hall 10. I bought two and got a further £5 knocked off.

Worth more than a look, highly respected Slovenian manufacturer Mega-Mobil are launching in the UK via this forum very own Simon Select. They have four vehicles on the stand with some original layouts.

Bifacial 220W portable solar panel from Ecoflow. I joked with the lady on the Ecoflow stand that all is needed now is a second sun pointing IMG_2710.jpegIMG_2711.jpegthe other way. Failing that, a big mirror! Price is £449.-
