I think you can overlay modern map over old one and gradually fade in and out , very interesting.

They have similar software here in Bristol. You can overlay from a choice of 18 map layers. The latest 2 are 2019 and the oldest 1746. It is fascinating, especially looking at where industrial sites used to be, mines and shafts etc. Husband said the bottom of their garden always used to be damp, I found a map from before the housing estate was built in the 1930s, that showed a clay pit there.
