Hi All,
We are planning a trip to the national Arboretum at the end of May, any suggestions of where we can stay, within 10 miles please.

If you are a member of the c&cc then their Conkers site is worth looking at, just a bit over 10 miles though.
And yes, good to visit.

If you are happy with a pub stop I can advise on a few places around here, Cannock, Staffs..
It's about 18miles and 25 min from NMA..
If you want to add to your trip. 30mins west of Cannock and you have the Cosford air museum. (y)

There is a CCC? Site (Willow Brook Farm 52.7377, -1.730407) right on the A38. from which you can almost walk to the Arboretum. The Caveat being that getting out of the site, because it IS the A38, Can be a bit Hairy!

Ha! I attend every year Ken, meet up with my old comrade friends who I served with all those years ago and we conduct a short service at our regimental memorial. Washed, booted and suited.
Me in my younger days Ken. It was my honour keeping you safe and sound, me ole fruit pastel !
