Yes Iā€™ve been looking at the 690r for a little while now thinking do I need one lol I donā€™t get time to use what I havešŸ™‚
Best to go and try one, theyā€™re an absolute hoot. The R model will be better than standard as it has adjustable suspension and slightly more power.

I'm impressed by everyones collection of bikes. I didn't actually realise that within the camper van / motorhome community so many people ride.

Good job folks. šŸ‘šŸ»

Hi Arron and a big welcome to the forum. I have bikes but I don't ride much these days as I don't seem to be able to find time - sad eh!! That'll change for sure ;-)

Good to have you on onboard.

All the best,

Andrew

This is my new bike, had hoped to have been trailering it through Europe by now but worse things have happened to other so shouldn't grumble.
We have a similar van to yours rnb100 , a Knaus Boxdrive which is 6.8 metres. We had some very tight moments on the back roads and in the villages of Portugal last year because of the length so small bit apprehensive about when we start to trailer - especially as the co-driver is not totally in favour of the idea but prepared to tolerate it. And someone told me tolerance is what gets tested under stress

I love the look of that Knowledgeseeker. How do you find the tyres for road use? The contact patch on 'normal' road tyres is already small, so there wouldn't be much going on with them. Does she hold the road alright?

Surprisingly well, and not much road noise either, although must admit because of Covid haven't had as much use out of it as I might have liked. But the use I did have was in wet conditions so....

I had a 1200 GS but it was a bit of an animal (well for me anyway) to be moving it around when off the bike so I got this. Still miss the GS though.

Although this weighs almost as much it just seems easier to manouvere. Plus I felt my wife might be quicker to get on it as it looks smaller.

Cracking looking bike that - tribute to the original R80 GS I think. šŸ‘

I'm very tempted to buy a Breva, I'm happy enough with secondhand and they re really good value. Just seems a bit nuts with a Griso in the garage as well ( although wife hates the Griso)

Haha,I have had two Brevaā€™s.Regretted selling the first as soon as it was gone.
Found this one which doesnā€™t have a mark on it 2010, purchased in the UK,less than 9,000 miles on a 2010.Cobra seat cover which is very comfy.Crash bars, two screens, new Avon tyres.
It handles like on rails, excellent Brembo brakes,to me what point in buying aV7 as itā€™s virtually the same bike.
Sadly my wife needs a new hip and canā€™t climb aboard anymore so she will sadly have to go,not the wife the Breva!!
Go for it,loads of fun for the buck.
Proper Soft detachable Guzzi expandable panniers.
Pop over to PT and ride it back after lockdown, would be a nice break .
