A newbie
Apologies for bringing up this subject yet again. I have trawled the previous posts on the subject and am none the wiser. It is a brand new Knaus motorhome. V5 issued on first registration.

V5 shows Revenue Weight at 4000kg Gross. Max Permissible Mass at 4000 and Mass in Service 3110

Fiat Plate mounted on bulkhead shows :

MAM 4400kg
GTW 6500kg
Front Axle 2100
Rear Axle 2500

Motorhome was purchased as on a Fiat Alko 4250kg chassis.

Are the weights on the V5 incorrect in view of the weights on the Fiat Plate? If so will DVLA amend the weights?

Somewhere there should be a converters plate,in your case Knaus which should have the same information as on the V5.

You can find this number on the documents of your motorhome or on the foloowing locations: On the base of the frontseats. On the stairs of one of the doors on the right side of the motorhome. On the outside wall of the motorhome on the right side.

The DVLA will have got their figures from the Certificate of Conformity and the constructors plate should have the same figures on it. The AlKo chassis may well have a maximum of 4250 but perhaps the bits Knaus attached to it have lower thresholds. What does your CofC have on it?
