(Yes, of course it's illegal.)

Set off today, realised the fridge was unlocked, nowhere to stop, so my wife carefully went back and locked it before we got to a bend of roundabout

Not condoning it but I wondered how many have done something similar?

I found it really hard to do that on my own. Tried telling the dogs to close the drawer that slid open ( always a drawer) but neither of them jumped to help. Typical.

We use the loo, get lunch, get drinks, close cupboards and have in the past even showered en route to meet friends when running late

Add to this that we used to swap drivers going along we are surely going to Hell in the eyes of some LOL

I also walk around, get drinks, use the Loo and eat en route when being driven in a coach, a train or when I am being flown in a plane

Dare devils us!

Do it regularly all the time - to use the loo, fetch a packet of crisps, biscuits, a drink from the fridge, a jumper, map, wash my hands, stretch my legs...........
No problem at all: For 20 years I crewed in 5 day offshore yacht races. :)

We do it nearly every time we take our motorhome out.

I thought that’s what cruise control was for

Yes, for the same reason, or for one of the drawers!

OMG! You lot is very nawty, you is. Just wait till @Minxy Girl comes on here, she’s gonna tell you off,coz she is sensible.
When I suggested it to SWMBO,she told me to stay in the drivers seat...............well,she may have had a point,we were doing about 70’and she doesn’t drive the van.:LOL:;);)

I often nip to the fridge for a beer. When the missus is with me, she goes for me :)

I just set the SatNav and put it in Auto and nip back. Bit like being on a boat with Autopilot engaged. Biggest problem is the other idiots on the road that get in the way ..

Wot together?
It should be pointed out that both of you having a shower with no-one driving could be considered slightly dangerous, in our case we at least leave to dogs to drive & they're excellent navigators.

Yes, Ann's main tasks are, switching fridge to battery, shuting a cupboard door properly or drawer. Stopping a rattle, usung the loo, Getting a cold drink out the fridge. Or my personnel favourite, Picking the bin up and putting all the rubbish back in it

Yep, all of the above...except maybe showering :D2

Haven’t tried showering, but we do everything else, one at a time of course!

I have even sat in traffic eating a bowl of cereal and drinking a fresh hot coffee on my way into an airshow.

I prefer that if the van is moving all passengers sit down, but have of course done most of the above at times

I have sent "The Stewardess" back to make a coffee ,even some toast on one occasion, but I never select from the drinks trolley when driving :)
I did draw the line when she wanted to use the washing machine tho

What you need is an automatic.

I know what you mean @Spriddler .
I had a 25' sailing boat based in Plymouth for many years.
A Hunter Ranger 245.

For my wife it was no problem.

Illegal?. Not actually sure?. Not recommended perhaps. People on coach trips move about. And use the Toilet facilities, are served drinks.?. We used the facilities on our R-V. "on the move". And when we had 2 drivers we both made full use of the kitchen, made tea and coffee etc. We only actually stopped to change driver.
