I don't suppose anyone has or knows the rough cost of having a strikeback alarm moved from one van to another per chance ?

many thanks in advance

Competition time :D

Let's all have a guess (Eddie excluded) I reckon it would be very close to the cost of a new install.

So I'm saying 80% of the cost of new.

why would you I'd just get a new one installed
I reckon it could be more expensive to move it twice the labour and would still need to install the LED's etc

I think it would be free cos he is such a lovely person.... :) :) :)

And he always remembers people who say nice things about him should they need something in the future. :)

Not worth the agro just have new one as the loom probably wouldn't fit the new van anyway.

Its easy to remove plenty of car alarms but when you have a Strikeback fitted they custom-make a loom to do the job you've asked of it. I watched my last one being made and while a fitter was adding all the locker connections another measured up and spent more than a couple of hours just making the loom.

This was part of my loom

Vanbitz keep extensive notes of each install and could remove the old alarm but by the time they re-built the loom it would probably cost more than a new fit.

I'd recon you'd save approx £250 on the price of having a new one fitted, then add the extra journeys and you will be well out of pocket!

probably best to leave for a selling point on your old van

Every thing else is left to save holes

Would the new owner get a discounted install as they have half a system fitted already :D

I'll do it with a set of wire cutters and a set of earplugs. £400.

I'd have thought the most cost effective solution would be to charge extra to the purchaser for the system, then use the extra cash to get Mr Bitz to install a brand new system to the new van?
