Hi all, I have booked my campsite at stream valley holiday park in Penzance!!! (Thank you). On my first day I want to visit mousehole, where is the best place to park my mh?? Also is there a paddle board hire ?? And is there any places I need to visit when I am there ?? Many thanks Neil from Hereford

It's hard to park a rollerskate in Mousehole. I'd suggest parking on a street in southern Newlyn and walking. But it would be worth the walk.

How about renting a small car for a few days, worth it. If you are not NT members one of you may consider joining to get free parking as lots of parks are NT in this area.

That's what we did in Cornwall, hired a car. Worked well for us. Local garage picked us up and dropped bus off.

Half hourly bus service from Penzance via Newlyn to Mousehole. As others have said park on the roadside at Penlee.
No paddle board hire at Mousehole.

Hi Neil,
As others have said the best stress-free way would be to park in Penzance main car park and bus in, the bus stop is right next to it.
Penzance Carpark

If you are National Trust members then St. Michaels Mount is well worth a visit, also with a big car park suitable for Motorhome nearby

Marazion Carpark

Minack Theatre is worthwhile, also have a m/h friendly carpark if you are early and beat the 10 o'clockers.

Lands End is a rip off so is The EDEN PROJECT. If you want to pay nearly £30 to walk around a greenhouse, come to my place I'll take yer money to walk around my 8X6

I like the Eden Project. Land's End has to be seen to be believed. What a strange place.

Try, next time, going to St Just, or Morvah maybe, still wild , still Cornwall at it's best and free!

Lands End? Just a Tourist trap. Funneled thro gift shops selling cheap chinese trash at premium prices!
Last time I went there was in 2005, took some Kiwis there , then it was £8 just to park me car!

A good place to paddle board is Gyllyngvase beach Falmouth. You can hire from wesup.co.uk .for parking there is a car park at Swanpool and a short walk around the headland to Gyllyngvase beach.

We went to Land’s End and the Eden Project eons ago when Eden was just staring to get going, was really good and interesting but quite expensive then. We didn’t have a MoHo then we’re just in a car but was still difficult parking.
Dont call Mousehole that whilst there will you the locals will laugh! It’s ‘Mouzall’ !!

You can park on the road above Mousehole. (Near the Penlee lifeboat memorial) for the day and walk in.

Definitely park outside of Mousehole- it’s a nice stroll along the prom through Newlyn (Jelbert’s ice cream) from Penzance ‘Wharfside’ carpark.
The Minnack is quite incredible (IMO) and the surrounding views are amazing. Sennen is also lovely and I think has paddle board and kayak hire.
St. Ives I would recommend either park & ride from St Erth with the most beautiful scenic rail trip and stunning views, or drive the back road through Morvah etc and park at the leisure centre car park.
Paddle board hire from Ocean High at Marazion- the bay and views of St Michael’s Mount are amazing.
Please note that the roads to all of these places are likely to be extremely busy and are extremely narrow in a number of places so can be tricky with a car, let alone a motorhome. So I highly recommend parking outside the areas you want to visit and be very comfortable reversing in narrow spaces under pressure.
The ‘Coaster’ busses are a potential option for hop on hop off and have open top versions for a sunny day.
Just make sure you pre-book everything.
Hope this is useful and hope you have a super visit.

Don't even think of taking anything bigger that a T5 or T6 through Mousehole. Yes I know the bus runs through there but that fills the road. There is a park on the right just beforee you start the decent. Park there and take the leccy bikes. Visit Jesse's Dairy.

Yes I took a 7M vehicle through in 2017 and for a few moments thought I'd have to take it apart to get it out while I could literally shake hands to people in awe in their gardens! We parked in the soccer club up the hill for the night run by the local soccer club. The "high" road will take you there without stress. We walked into harbour about 15Mins. and got minicab for uphill return.......fully imbibed.

If you are going to St Ives best to go to St Erth railway station and take the train in
Goes all along coast
Very scenic journey

Best beach to visit for walks is Gwithian, park in the NT fields not the council car park which will be rammed.
Re Gyllingvase and board hire get there early enough and you should be able to park along the front between Pendennis Head and Gyllingvase, free and stay as long as you like. Right now though Falmouth is bedlam with G7 going on.

On Cliff road , between Newlyn and Mousehole. Loads of wild camping parking.
