I've got a few devices to fit to a cupboard - Router, DC converters, etc.

I've decided to mount everything on DIN Rails to make installation and removal easier and to minimise screw holes. DIN Rails are a few quid each.

I've purchased a couple of these mounting kits. They firstly are designed to fit my Teltonika router, but I can also mount other things to the DIN rail using these. They snap on and off the rail. (£6.41 from Broadband Buyer).

So, now I have to screw the DIN rail to the inside of a cupboard. Can anyone suggest the screw length I can use, or should I attempt to use double sided tape and really keep the impact to a minimum? I don't think my voltage detector will work in this situation, which is what I'd use on a house wall when putting any screws in. I don't want to hit any of the existing cables, and I think there's a few in this area.

I've done something similar using industrial strength adhesive velcro pads . Hope this link works.

I use 3M Dual Lock low profile to mount all my gubbins.

There is a heavy duty version.

Thanks you. Link works and I think this is what I want.. although the next post from Two on Tour with the 'velcro' might be a winner for me.

Perfect. Thank you. Best of both worlds. 3M, Velcro and DIN rail. Minimal impact on the van.

If you do use a self adhesive tape fastner be mindfull what you are sticking it to, if it's going on the wall the chances are it will be thin wall papered board, so don't rely on small dots go the whole width of your brackets to spread the load.

Have a look at 3M VHB tape to mount the din rail to the cupboard. This stuff is impressive. Only use it where you will never want to remove it though.

Agreed! That’s what I used to attach C-channel to the underside of my wind-out so that I could attach a porch awning……..:xThumb:
