Hi All,

Forum newbie looking for recommendations. Until now, we’ve (2 of us) always hired - just done the NC500 in Swift 694 & decided it’s time to buy. Whilst the 694 was ok, the shower setup & living area doesn't match needs.

Considering: AT Imala 730; Bailey Adamo 75-4i & RT T-Line/Pegaso 740.

Looking for <7.5m - appreciate any suggestions/feedback on shortlist

Steve

I know it's way longer than you wanted but a Swift Kontiki 669 has a lovely island bed and a very spacious living area!

Chausson Allegro 97. 7.3m long, very comfortable transverse island bed, it works very well for us two.

We love our 7m Carado T339 with Island Bed over garage. Its the perfect layout for us

If you want a posher version then Hymer and Dethleffs do the exact same layout

Chausson do a couple of similar models and the bed lifts up. On the Carado the water heater is under the front of the bed so that wouldn't work. The garage is massive though even though its under the bed and we get 2 bikes (one being a tandem) in

We had a Hymer Exsis I 698 nice van if you can get one 7.2 m 4250kg

What about a Frankia 840 I know a bit longer than the intended length, but it was a good van for us at the time

Adamo 75-4i's are good vans, so are Pegaso 740's. PM me if you want anymore info, I am a dealer for both.

Thank's all, really helpful - my list for review has grown and there are some great additions here - much appreciated.

Was our first MH. loved it, still miss the space but was a bit to long for some of the Airers in and around France We went down to 7.5m with twin bed set up. Much easier to get about in. Most manufacturers have an Island bed set up. It then comes down to which manufacture you want then the respective layouts. Do not rush it.
You have hired , Make out your must list and compromise list. Then go looking good luck and post a pic when you find the ONE

Swift Kontiki 625, 2 options for lounge seating depending on how many travelling seats/belts you need.

Sideways lounge I think is the best layout for 2 people.

Some of the new transverse island beds are very cool. Not as practical for the garage but I can see the attraction.

Florium Wincester 75LMF has Island bed. Electric height adjustment to get lots of stuff in garage. Separate shower and loo with opposing double seats. One fault tho, payload on 3500 chassis is tiny. Definitely needs weight upgrade.

SUNLIGHT T69L GOOD ISLAND BED big garage underneath

I'd second that. we have the slightly longer T449, a 7.4m van.

We love it. And that garage space is huge - we get 4 mountain bikes in it plus all the other paraphernalia.

I need to read up on the payload - seems to be a factor I need to take into consideration.

Our friends have just upgraded and selling their Rimor, its a year old, just and been down to spain once, has the choice of 2 singles or a large double so best of both worlds. Its pretty well specced up with solar and other extras.

if your interested i'll pass you their details

Hi, we love our Bailey Autograph 79/4i great layout.
Just compared this with the Adamo, that we have on our 'current' shortlist, and I have to agree, the autograph is a great layout. It's just 43cm longer than I wanted - I may have to rethink my body length maximum... :)

Adria matrix 670sc or dc 5 berth Adria coral 670sc 3 berth ( no drop down front bed)

Carthago Chic C-Line.
Available with or without front drop down bed.
Excellent build quality, double floor, well insulated and a big garage for all the junk us chaps need.
As we have one I might be just a little biased. :giggle:

Richard.
