Going to look at a motorhome tomorrow, private sale. With the list price of a new one at £90,000 what do you all think is a realistic price for a one year old one.
Not sure if I'm being ambitious or the sellers hopeful.

Thanks in advance

Go with your feeling when you see it. If you want to pay more then you will.
It's hard to say without knowing the make etc but I'd be aiming for at least 20% then there are market pressures at the time etc to think about.

And don't forget this

What van Andy?

They may have added an alarm, tracker, remis blinds, extra solar, gasit, lithiums etc which could to a way to offsetting the new price

If its up £90,000 the guy selling will have a figure in mind, probably 85. It may be worth checking what else is in it, will he leave the TV's etc?

Hi Simon.
A new one today is £90,000. this is up at £82,000

Everything has a price and I have a high risk threshold but I'd be nervous spending that sort of money privately.I struggled to sell 2 motorhomes around £65k privately but both were eventually bought and sold by dealers for around £75k

Just as a comparison my friend paid £62k for his new Adria back in September 21. A replacement today of his model is about £80k albeit it would have some Fiat extras his model couldn’t have at that time. He told me he had seen the same model with almost no mileage, like his, advertised on Autotrader for £76k I think. I know it was more than he paid for it but not quite as much as todays cost.

There is a 2016 model on Autotrader Motorhomes for £65,000. (y)

I’ve seen that one, it’s the older model. And has been for sale about 6 months, it even went up in price a couple of months ago.

When you said a new one is £90, my initial thoughts where it in a normal market would loose £5 ( I think ) then deduct another £5 as you dont get a warranty as such. As they have advertised it For £82 I imgine they are also thinking £80. Based on that I would try £78 ish you may gain a couple of grand !

Be very careful, how are you going to transfer the money??
