I will be changing my Tyres as I have spotted some cracks in one of the rears and some much smaller ones in one of the fronts.
Currently have toyo h08 tyres on there with a load rating of 121/120. Not sure what the date on them is as I cannot see it on the front. It may be on the rear, but havent looked there. I am not sure what load rating that the motorhome is supposed to have. It’s a 2007 Autotrail Scout with a mam of 4250kg and the plate says 2400kg for the rear axle. Does this mean that I can use 115 load rating and higher (1215kg) or should I stick to 121? not sure what original load rating was as I did not buy new. Can’t seem to find camper tyres in 121 rating, or should I just get van tyres rated at 121?

Thanks.

Yes you can but if you regularly load the rear axle to it's max it's best to have a 10% margin.

just looked at the Conti tyre chart and 115 on a single axle can take MAX 2430kgs @ 4.75bar. but i would think 120 would be a better choice IMHO

There is normally a sticker with recommended tyre and inflation pressures on door pillar or adjacent .
115 rating would comply with axle load but it is pretty close to max . 121 rating will give you a bigger safety margin , and will allow running at a lower pressure for a given weight than a lower rated tyre . thereby a bit more comfort . If you are about to change tyres consider if you use in winter conditions .

Thanks. I’ll stick with 121 van tyres then as it does not seem camper tyres come in that rating.
might stick some Nexan RO CT8 tyres on it as seems to have good label ratings (B fuel, B wet and 71db) and only £109.12 each,.
