5 years, feel free to ask me about the Carado!!
Can anybody recommend van storage in the Glasgow area ? Preferably on the west side, but TBH will consider anything at this stage. Thanks for any help!!!

Love that Avatar of yours campacola. :D Sorry can't help with storage.

The caravan club in Strathclyde park have storage, we stayed there a few weeks ago and they had loads of room. The couple in the pitch next to is actually kept their van there and had just drove it out of storage to a pitch for a last minute get away, according to them they where very pleased with the storage and the wardens.
Also as you drove north on the M73 you can see loads of caravans and Motorhomes parked up on the left hand side, might be worth a visit.

Al can you share this nugget of knowledge -- I'm looking for a long term storage site and Hamilton would be perfect

It's next to new field cattery muttonhole road, south out of Hamilton toward strathaven and turn right on the back road to east Kilbride, 200yds along on left, was £240 this year.

Thanks Al
I'll check it out and see if the insurance company are ok with it

Cheers !

Not the site i'm on about, it is off muttonhole road, but I'm sure there is another where you suggest. Be careful there are roadworks around the site, both sites best approached from muttonhole road end.

Sorry for confusion, Al.
There is another storage place further up Muttonhole Road (just off) at those co-ords. Top centreish. Think the one you're talking about is bottom centreish.

Our insurance weren't too happy about it so we went elsewhere. Up for renewal in a few months so will keep your option in mind. Ta much.(y)

Yes, your spot on, I couldn't post the co-ords, my insurance was same for storage or driveway, but is a sub 20k van, both comfort and aib happy to insure

Believe there's a new storage location recently opened in Southcroft Road, Rutherglen. Haven't investigated it yet though.

I was going to move here until I got a place very near to home,

Pretty sure this is where Al1 is talking about as we were quoted £240 as well, got a place 3 miles from home instead of there the only difference is £85 more. Will save that on fuel going to collect the van and putting it back into storage.(y)
Yip, that's the place Al was talking about.
Trev, where have you got the van now?

Aaah but now means at present and that's Portugal :moon2:

Have you not been away recently?

Back to the OP question. Have you considered asking a nearby farm if they perhaps have an unused part iof a barn that's maybe used to keep machinery.

Remember the mouse traps wherever it goes.
