Buckets of brown waste unlikely to come from a Motorhome . A van with a mattress chucked in the back , a surf board on top and a bucket for toilet is not a Motorhome. The writer of the article seems hellbent on slating motorhomers with an interesting mixture of replies. I can’t copy and post all replies but this woman has seen people emptying buckets of brown waste down the roadside gullies. Will keep an eye on an otherwise quite boring app as I sit in the heat of Mojacar, not parked on the roadside

Its across the road from school I used to go to and also my Saturday night out at what was the Broadway Hotel, a few New Years eves had in there, followed by a sickly hangover in my late teens.Thats the white wall then
I have seen loads of vans though plenty times to be fair and if they are overstaying I can understand it.
I parked on one of the prom car parks only for 2 hours in an afternoon and paid for 3 tickets as I overhung . Got me head down as i was tired heading back from Scotland and awoke to see Blakey outing a ticket on me screen.whooaaaa i said..look 3 tickets and I'm only over hanging 2 really..don't care he said takemit up with the number on the ticket..tosser..
It got rescinded on appeal.
St annes did it , a toilet cubical as a sluice not sure about water or cost but a little bit more than next to nothing i would think but nowhere near the £100,000She also said that providing facilities for camper van owners to stay overnight in existing car parks would be costly, giving an estimated figure of more than £100,000 for provision of a toilet, shower block, fresh water supply and waste facility, plus additional annual costs.
They really don't have a clue.
The cost Installing an Elson point and a tap onto the side of a toilet block would cost almost nothing. That is all that would be needed and would attracted dozens of new tourist.

So people in expensive homes have the right to a view but the rough end of town dont? We’ve just had nearly three years living a couple of miles from Morcambe and it’s definitely more noticeable the amount of vans parked up, especially down the south end so to speak beyond Aldi. Quite a few used to park for longer periods on the battery carpark which from memory was only around £1.20 a day and free overnight but that is now chargeable and the few times we’ve parked there to go to events in the town it’s been well patrolled by the wardens.
Generally it seems to be tolerated along the Aldi end as not so many expensive properties looking out over them but down the north end nearer the golf course where the same vans park up there for long periods they are looked at by some larger expensive properties so I do understand their criticism.
Not sure where theses vans are disposing of waste as many don’t seem to move from the spot they’re on. But there are a couple of sets of public loos along the prom which I guess they can use with a bit of discretion.
We’ve overnighted right at the Happy mount park end which is only overlooked by a carpark.
